The Asyn Thesis
Manifesto
Fixed income is the largest asset class in the world - $161tn (trillion!) of global bonds outstanding, roughly the size of every stock market in the world combined. This market still runs on human bandwidth. The firms that win the next decade won't be the ones with the most analysts. They will be the ones whose best judgement reaches every bond, every issuer and every market, and stays their IP, compounding with every decision
The market has outgrown the firm
The fixed income universe keeps expanding: more issuers, more instruments, more jurisdictions, $30tn of debt issued each year, growing 10% annually. Even the best teams can only study only a fraction of it closely. The rest is screened by rule of thumb, or not at all, allowing alpha to slip away.
Skilled analysts spend their days assembling data instead of forming views. And a firm's hard-won framework lives in a few people's heads, leaving the firm when they do.
Why now: capability is solved, trust is not
AI today can read a mandate, reconcile a curve and argue a relative value case. Raw intelligence is no longer the bottleneck. Trust is.
General-purpose AI was built to be a helpful assistant to anyone. Institutional investing needs the opposite: a system that follows a mandate, shows its working, and never mixes one firm's thinking with another's. That is a harder problem, and a domain problem. It is the one we exist to solve.
What we believe
- 01
Analysis should be exhaustive. Judgement should stay human. Machines should cover every bond. People should own every decision.
- 02
Your edge is proprietary, so your AI should be too. Your data does not leave your firm. Neither do the models it trains. Nothing is pooled, and nothing trains a model another firm will use.
- 03
Governance is a feature, not a burden. Every recommendation traces back to your framework and every deviation recorded. If it cannot be audited, it should not be trusted.
- 04
Depth beats breadth. Fixed income has its own language, its own workflows and its own ways of being wrong. A generalist that knows a little about everything is not an analyst.
- 05
Good AI argues back. The best analyst is a sparring partner, not an echo chamber. Asyn is built to be challenged, and to challenge you.
- 06
Intelligence should compound. Every decision your desk makes should make the next one sharper.
What we are building
Asyn is proprietary AI for institutional fixed income: an analyst that joins your team, learns your framework and runs inside your own environment. It works across the whole workflow, from new issue prediction and order sizing to valuation, monitoring and execution.
Over time it becomes something no vendor can sell you: a living record of how your firm thinks, applied to every opportunity at once. We start with fixed income because it is where the gap between the size of the market and the capacity of the desk is widest. Our ambition is to help every investment firm with intelligence it owns, with tools that compound and evolve its edge over time.
Scale the judgement, keep the edge
We are not building an oracle. We are building an analyst you own.
If you are a portfolio manager, analyst or CIO who believes your judgement is worth scaling rather than replacing, we would like to work with you. Talk to us.
